Foundation Goals
The Alexander Lowen Foundation is a non-profit foundation that
is registered with the US government. It has been formed to
honor and enhance Dr. Lowen's work by preserving and making
easily available his teachings and beliefs about Bioenergetics.
We are creating this website for the bioenergetic community
to exchange news and views through forums
and to share memories and experiences in the Honoring
Alexander Lowen Guestbook.
We are in the construction phase of the Foundation and website
now, and we want to give people interested in Bioenergetics
everywhere an opportunity to help structure the Foundation's
activities. We welcome input
on how to best promote Dr. Lowen's work and the exchange of
ideas motivated by his books, workshops, lectures, and life.
In this beginning stage, the Alexander Lowen Foundation will
also allow interested individuals to be informed about Dr.
Lowen's health. He has touched many lives and the number
of people seeking information about his health and genuinely
wishing him goodwill is tremendous.
Additionally, the Foundation is inviting and encouraging people
to exchange thoughts, ideas and insights as to how to most effectively
bring bioenergetics into
the lives of more people. This website will also feature
explorations into mind-body unity
and health, the connectedness and importance of being grounded
in our environment and, up the road,
tools for living. Our
hope is to allow bioenergetic theory to contribute as much as
possible to the lives of ourselves, families, communities and
world.
We invite you to help us create a Lowen Archive to preserve
the principles of Bioenergetic Analysis as created by Dr. Lowen.
This website includes a few
photographs and video
clips, but we would like to invite members of the Bioenergetic
Community everywhere to share with
us any photographs, audio and video tapes, notes, etc, they
may have of Dr. Lowen's work that might be used for the benefit
of everyone.
Thank you for visiting our website. Our goal is to use the Bioenergetic
wisdom we have been given to share and expand Dr. Lowen's work.
